Extreme Biology was a huge part of my early teaching career. During its existence from 2008-2011, I was lucky to work with high school students who made this blog a special and unique experience for so many. Because I’ve heard from hundreds (!) of teachers, students, and scientists who discovered the blog and were inspired by what they read, I decided to republish blog articles that were written on the blog’s original website, extremebiology.net (and a few from its previous site, missbakersbiologyclass.com). Unfortunately, due to a lack of technical expertise in how to move websites from one domain to the next, I accidentally deleted several hundred posts and thousands of comments. Those that appear here are the lucky few that survived.
